‘AGT’ Judges Stunned by Contortionist on Season 20 Premiere: Who is ‘Lastic Boy?’ (VIDEO)

‘AGT’ Season 20 Contestant Amadou Diallo Has Only Been in the United States for a Year

Originally from Guinea, Diallo emigrated to the United States one year ago, moving in with his aunt and her family in Columbus, Ohio, according to The Columbus Dispatch. Diallo told the outlet that he considers his abilities a gift from God that he discovered when he was a child.

Combining his ability to contort his body any which way with rhythmic dance-like movements, Diallo calls his type of performance “bone rupture and contortion dance,” the paper said. He began working on turning his abilities into an entertaining show in 2017, but moved to the United States hoping he could reach a larger audience than in Guinea.

But the young man has little time to rehearse, The Columbus Dispatch reported, given that he’s juggling two jobs five days a week, from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. each day. He hopes one day to be able to reunite with his twin brother, who’s still in Guinea, he told the outlet.

Before Diallo performed and Brown asked him why he’d come to “America’s Got Talent,” he replied, “It is my dream,” adding that he couldn’t believe he had the chance to “perform on this stage.”

Howie Mandell Says He Could Feel ‘AGT’ Contestant’s Bone Pop Out of Its Socket

After a family member grabbed the microphone from him and wished him well, Diallo took off his white t-shirt and stood at center stage, bent forward, and rotated his arms nearly 360 degrees. Immediately, the judges’ jaws dropped and Vergara screamed, “No, no, no!”

The judges and the crowd watched in horror and awe as Diallo bent all the way backwards, smiling as the back of his head touched the back of his legs. He later made his way to the judges’ table, where he demonstrated how he could move bones in his body, from his stomach to his neck, which Brown repeatedly called “amazing.”

“He had me put my hand on his shoulder,” Howie told her after the electrifying performance. “I could feel his bone come out of the socket!”

“I am, like, in shock,” Vergara told Diallo. “I mean, we’ve seen a lot of contortionism in this show, but he took it to another level.”

“I genuinely have never seen that in my life, ever,” Cowell agreed as Diallo beamed onstage. “I love the look on your face — it’s like, ‘This is just normal!’ Everyone is going to be talking about this when they see it. I promise you.”

Cowell gave his “yes” vote first, and the others quickly followed. Diallo blew kisses to the judges and crowd as he exited the stage.
